This is, hands down, the nicest and most advanced thermal I've ever used. Students got hands on with it in the last class and it blows away by FLIR PTS233 and a FLIR Breach one of the students had on hand. As a clip on, it allows you to run it in front of your day optic or handheld for maximum versatility. In my opinion these are game changers. -NCS

    Mixed bag

The 640 is excellent. The 52-56mm scope adapter doesn’t work on a 56 mm scope. Bought another one thinking this was made for a 50mm scope, same problem. I would have assumed AGM was USA made. Made in our enemy’s country, the PRC! In spite of that quality is excellent, just don’t like supporting a hostile nation.

Excellent unit, Excellent Service from Brushbeater Store.

The Little things you can see at night, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of yard off at night surprised me.

Little birds roosting at night in tree’s..just something I never thought about. Then you see them. You gain a appreciation for whats going on out there at night.

    Absolute Gamechanger

I took the plunge on the 640 version of the Rattler after hearing NC talk this up on a podcast. I had used my old FLIR Breach at the Scout course in Wyoming last summer and had a very hard time picking human thermal signatures out from the background. The resolution on the Rattler is a massive upgrade from the FLIR. To put it in perspective, I can make out prairie dogs heat signatures about 100 yards from my front porch.

The included QD weapons mount positions the sight perfectly with my ACOG.

The only negative is that you need to shell out another $200 for the eyepiece adapter if you want to use this as a stand alone thermal viewer.
