The RattlerV2 19-256, an improved version of the Rattler TS19-256, is an awesome option for close-range night hunts, beginners getting into thermal hunting, or to use as a buddy scope.
It features a 19mm Germanium lens, a 256×192 resolution thermal sensor, and a 2.5x base magnification with a detection range of up to 950 yards. Its wide Field of View (9.3° × 6.9° or 49 feet at 100 yards) allows for extensive area coverage during scanning. The upgrade from a 25 Hz to a 50 Hz refresh rate in the Rattler V2 19-256 ensures smoother scanning with minimal lag.

An upgraded battery compartment accommodates a rechargeable battery, extending run time to 11.5 hours. Rattler v2
Brushbeater had the best price on this thermal scope. I hesitated the first time it was available, but got a notification it was back in stock so I grabbed it. Scope is pretty easy to get going (I haven’t played with all of the menu items, it has a lot of features). Does white hot, black hot, fusion and another setting, if you want it like the 80s Predator movie style.
I have been using it in handheld style, but yesterday I mounted it on a rifle and the zero was right on (100yds).

More than just a rifle scope
When I first got it I was testing it out indoors and I was blown away at the sensitivity. It picked up a thermal signature that was reflected off of glass, I didn’t know that was possible. Also was sensitive enough to pick up the drywall screws and studs in my wall. This is with the base model, I can only imagine what the flagship can do. This is a must have tool. Everything in your kit should have atleast two uses. This fits the bill.

Great little unit
Hadn’t used thermal since the late 90’s using a PAS-13 at that time. The 320 resolution is a really nice upgrade from the 256 model and at a good price point. Best value in the line IMO. Resolution better than I expected and can easily pick up a rat or rabbit at 100 yards even on a hot muggy Florida night. Zeroing is super easy with the freeze frame. 10/10.

Great entry level thermal
Met my expectations for an entry level thermal scope. Works well inside 100yds for pest control. Menu system and zeroing are super easy – very similar to ATN and Sightmark’s menu system for their digital optics, so it was easy to pick up and run with. The mount seems solid and does return to zero.
