The Partisan Labs ADL-1 One Time Pad Generator is the tool we use in the Advanced RTO Course to physically encrypt messages in a mathematically unbreakable format. This printer expedites the process and potential human error in creating truly random key pads in a convenient, simple to use form factor.

One Time Pad (OTP) is an ‘old school’ tool and a method of encrypting messages.  As long as the actual One Time Pad is kept secure, the message will be unbreakable.  The challenge of using this method is generating truly random sets of numbers. It can be very time consuming and redundant.  The ADL-1 One Time Pad machine makes it as easy as the touch of a button, and it is FIELD PORTABLE!

Printer comes equipped with two (2) rechargeable 18650 batteries and two rolls of thermal printer paper. There is no ink involved in the process - it prints using a laser to burn the image and creates the OTP using static for the random number generation. I have used one of the prototype models in every advanced RTO Course since 2017 on the same set of batteries and it has stood the test of time of use. In my opinion, once communications inside a group have been established, this is a must-have item for absolute communications security in the Clandestine or Strategic role as explained in detail in The Guerrilla's Guide to the Baofeng Radio.

When you need the right tool...

Like a ball joint puller. Rarely needed, but when you do there is no substitute for the right tool. Especially if you don't have the time to sit there and roll ten sided dice. Solid product. Well made. Does exactly what it is advertised to do and does so in a straightforward and easy to use manner.

    Good gear!

I'll leave any technical analysis on the coding to the smart guys. The software is open source and, presumably, thoroughly vetted.

The printer and and interface are well made and Neanderthal compatible. It even prints off a workable set of instructions for encoding and decoding.

I'm happy with what I got.

Consider making the AC power supply available also.
