Light and tight - everything you need, nothing you don't. That's the design philosophy behind the Scout Rig. A lightweight, no-frills chest rig made of 500D Cordura to keep your gear streamlined to your body, keep a low profile, minimize noise in the woods, and serve as a semi-modular platform for adding MOLLE pouches where necessary such as our 152 Radio Pouch.
Over the years I've worked with countless designs, from chest rigs over IBAs we were running in Iraq to using modular panels in Afghanistan with plate carriers. And while lots of those designs were solid for the intended mission, the problem always boiled down to one reality - we were operating overtly in a semi-permissive environment. This is certainly not the case outside the usual military or governmental circles. The Armed Civilian is covert by nature and requires a low profile gear while maintaining a certain level of modularity to tailor equipment to specific missions. More often than not, that's keeping just a few mags on your chest, a place for a small set of binos, and a platform to carry your tactical or inter-team communications.
This leads us to the Scout Rig. Simple but bombproof in construction, easy to add admin pouches, and holds 4 AR-15, AK-74, or AK-47 mags with two small pouches on the front and one pocket in the rear. A fully adjustable H harness design insures maximum comfort under load for any body type or size in addition to fitting over body armor if the mission calls for it. This was designed to be a true no frills, no fluff, do-everything rig at a price that cannot be beat.
Available in Woodland, Coyote Tan, OD Green, and Multicam.
