The greatest design. People may have bought it before me, I'm sure they only had good things to say, it's a truly remarkable piece from Vigilante Engineering. So simple, so elegant, so rugged. It's important to protect your knob.

A handy tool for preventing accidental volume adjustments plus preventing the flashlight from blinding you by accident in the dark.

If you are like me, you may have a small fleet of these radios and find they come with a variety of screw lengths, from barely adequate to entirely unhelpful. More over, if you have replaced a belt clip over the years and used the new screws, you almost DEFINITELY do not have adequate length.

The size you are looking for is M.25-0.45x8mm. Do yourself a favor and opt for the hex head while you are at it.

For those situations where you want to avoid being “that guy”, you need this. Might save a life as well, never know. Cheap insurance. Simple tool that gets the job done. I’m happy with my purchase.

These are a great idea and a useful acessory to the Baofengs. Fit and finish is excellent; I did put some liquid electrical tape in light cap portion just to be triple sure that there is no accidental discharge of that pesky little light! The only negative is that I wish that it came with new, longer screws as the factory ones barely catch (.. maybe 2 full threads?); I couldn't get the threads to engage with the belt clip installed.
My next purchase from Brushbeater will include the knob protectors for my UV-5RM(s). BTW... the UV-5RM is superior in every way to the original UV-5R series EXCEPT light signature from the display.
