Have you ever seen a piece of gear that you thought “what’s the purpose of this thing?” That was my initial impression of the cloak. Let me tell you how wrong I was. Big enough to go over your plate carrier and helmet yet also not so insanely bulky you could easily put it under yours PC.
Wool dries quickly and it does a great job of keeping you nice and toasty in the field.
This isn’t some cheap stuff-medium weight wool that’s well crafted and thoughtfully designed .
Well worth the money

Advice: Gather up all the 100% wool blankets that you can. You will not be sorry.
The patch panel up front is a cute affectation (tactical!). The cloak is made of quality wool. It is the same quality as my 90's era Gloverall duffle coat. The stitching and seams are great. It's a simple design done perfectly.
I wish that they linked back to the OEM for this, they deserve the publicity.
