The AGM StingIR 640 miniature handheld observational thermal monocular is equipped with a 640×480, 12 micron, sub-25mK thermal detector and high-resolution OLED display. The StingIR is a full-featured unit, weighing less than 7 ounces/200 grams. The monocular can be helmet mounted for hands-free operations, or used as a standalone handheld device. The SingIR with included weapon mounts can also be used as a stand-alone thermal scope, or thermal clip-on, making it one of our most versatile offerings.
Other features include a digital compass, inclinometer, up to 8x digital zoom and the ability to be powered by two types of replaceable CR123 or 18650 batteries. The high-sensitivity built-in thermal detector provides you with a clear view in any lighting condition. The monocular is suitable for security enforcement, outdoor hunting, wilderness exploration, search and rescue and other fields.

Great IR Optic
This thing is amazing. Extremely high detail/clarity even under digital magnification. Menus are easy to use. It surprised me how small and lightweight it is. I have to replace my rail on one of my rifles to mount it so I have not tried it as a clip on yet. Can’t wait to coyote hunt with it. The ability to use rechargeable batteries is a huge plus. I used it the other day to ID spots I need to insulate in my attic. Great unit, well worth the cost, and great service as always from Brushbeater!

Excellent tool
I’ve used thermal since it was first available to the fire service. Got the 640 and it’s everything a hand held is these days . The only difference is you can’t mount the hand held on my rifle . Great costumer service, responsive quickly to questions!

Reticle
Get it. Now. This thing is tiny and perfect for pocket carry detection. Better yet, it has a reticle (white, black and green) that’s adjustable vertically and horizontally and up to 8X digital zoom. Trying the reticle this weekend. Take note, it’s recoil rated for up to 5.56 so don’t drop it on an AR-10. If it works well this weekend, it’s no longer a compromise thermal over scopes.
