Love that it covers aircraft band but not happy that the GPS feature will share location between radios . Did not see in the brief manual if it can be turned off. It will be nice to check my land nav against my map without having a separate GPS.Other than that it seems just as good as my other pair of AR152s

Initial thoughts on AR152
Received the package quickly after ordering. Radios were intact. The radio looks like my other AR152’s, but there are a few key differences. Charger is USB C vice barrel connector, so be careful if you mix batteries and make sure you have the correct charger. The screen is fine, but is hard to read in direct sunlight. Haven’t tried it with NODs. The menu is much different from the older 152’s, so a little disorientation occurred when looking for the CTSS settings, which are not under the “radio” selection on the menu, but under the “scan” selection. In use the radio sounds great, and the power when set to medium was able to hit and open the repeater which is about 15 miles away. The repeater is on a tower so that helped, but most of my other HT’s that are 5W have difficulty doing that. Haven’t done much with the GPS feature, so can’t comment on that. Overall, it seems to be a great radio for the price, and you won’t mind losing it as you would a Yaesu VX-6R or similar. It also fits in a two mag USMC mag pouch and secures pretty well if you don’t have a radio pouch for it. All in all, a good purchase.
