Khyber Optics MDO
The Khyber Optics MDO (Mini Dot Optic) is a small closed emitter dot optic suitable as a standalone sight, partnered with a larger scope or mounted on a handgun. Featuring a 6061 aluminum housing and three mounting heights with the included mounts, this is a multirole optic for any small arms platform. The MDO features a shake-awake to preserve power on an already class leading battery life of over 50,000 hours. Powered by a common 2032 battery, this optic is a strong choice for a truck gun, EDC, or duty weapon.

Great optic, bright controllable green reticle
Great optic, bright controllable green reticle. Reticle patterns are excellent for both detail and rapid movements, my favorite is the dot and ring. For me the green was a good choice; Green reticle does not have astigmatism splash/star pattern like other red dots (particularly red light seems to be much worse for me when it is bright). Mounting options are good heights. Would like to see this optic have two mount screws and wedges instead of one to improve its strength. I have had Vortex Sparc mount wedges fail cracking at the screw which is a very similar design as the MDO. For now it is secure and no issue noted.
This mates up with Vortex magnifier very well, and even better directly matched with the Armasight Jockey 320 Thermal clipon. It provides good field of view for clipon optic features so you can read the screen features in corners unlike many other red dot and prism optics. This is a fabulous optic for the general purpose rifle or pistol build.
I will order more of these to replace several Vortex Sparc II optics. May replace Vortex Spitfire 1x as well which was used specifically to have etched reticle that does not have astigmatism issue. since the Khyber MDO is that good.

was waiting to buy one og these when i heard about them, love the green and this is a upgrade for a budget red and i already want another after just a few mags. was less than a 1/4 inch off after install when zeroing at range and then took it out to the field. was great for bright sunlight

I beat the crap out of it this weekend. Love the green and different reticles. I have not run as fast or as accurate as I did this weekend for a long time and Im sure it had to do with this MDO. Thinking of replacing my T2 micros with this thing. Well done!

Solid optic for far less money
This optic has now been through quite a ringer for a new optic. Purchased at CanCon Carolinas while discussing thermal with Scout himself.
I’ve since put nearly 5000 rounds through the pistol it’s mounted to over the course of 2 weeks. It has been dropped, banged, bumped, and jammed on barriers of all kinds. It held zero through it all. Simply put, I was trying to break it without “destructive” testing. I couldn’t. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the manual didn’t have a torque spec for the mounting screw. Aside from that, I’ll be buying a few more of these to replace some other optics.

Just completed mounting and sighting in on a 9mm carbine. Quick sight/target acquisition, bright reticle. Three shots then small adjustments, the rest in the red at 50 yds. 5 stars!

Painted it and mounted to a Glock 49 that’s direct milled for Acro footprint optics. Zero was easy and so far through 2 range sessions and about 500 rounds it’s holding zero and seems to be a very solid and well performing optic. The price was very affordable for me I can not thank Brush Beater enough and a major shout out to the guys at the Council on Future Conflicts for promoting this optic and getting trained God bless yall !!

Shotgun Class Tested
Ran this little red dot on a Beretta 1301 in a two day shotgun class. It ran flawless through 500 rounds of 12 gauge. Other optics flew off due to mounts and this thing stayed on rock solid. I can’t recommend this enough on a shotty. The circle only reticle is perfect for engaging targets with buckshot. For the money this can’t be beat.
