The Khyber Optics Solar Dot Optic packs the most features into a tiny, lightweight package. Boasting a 3K G shock rating, a 50k hour battery life, a shake awake, and three reticles, its also solar powered and a closed emitter. The SDO is an RMSc footprint to directly fit on some of the most popular handguns on the market, but also features a low profile picatinny rail for mounting on rifles or shotguns.
Three selectable reticles (3 MOA Dot, circle crosshairs with dot, circle crosshairs) changed by holding the Up button down for 3 seconds. 4 seconds of inactivity puts the SDO in ‘sleep mode’ which conserves battery life even further. 10 brightness levels.

Amazing and instinctive little optic… Bought two and mounted one each on a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Tactical. and 10/22 Takedown.
The Mark IV: it fit like a glove and did not add too much bulk to the weapon. It will take a bit of time to hone in acquiring the red dot, but that is an operator issue.
The 10/22 Takedown: mounted it to the Magpul X-22 adapter on the barrel – it was a perfect fit. Intuitive, easy to zero. Within 9 rounds I had the dot locked in at 50 yards and with the circle crosshairs, I was consistently hitting steel plates at 100 (hold at the top of the 6 o’clock crosshair) and standard steel silhouette at 200 yds (hold at the bottom of the 6 o’clock crosshair). The only thing I could think to make this even better would be to have hashmarks at the 6 (going out to 350 yards was more guesswork than anything… but it’s a .22LR… so go figure).
The KO SDO is going to replace every other red dot I own – .22LR, 12-gauge, 5.56, 7.62×39… excellent optic for the price.
