Convience is not cheap
The Peak Refuel Biscuits and Gravy pouch worked as advertised. Added boiling water, resealed pouch and waited as noted on instructions. Finished product was flavorful; certainly opinions vary on the “correct” flavor versions of B&G.
I found the buscuits were whole when I opened the pouch and trying to break them smaller for quicker absorption was almost impossible; a multitool would have helped. Or a hammer. Once the meal was ‘cooked’, the buscuits could be broken down in layers with each chunk softening in turn. While expensive, the processing and effective packaging are not cheap cost factors for a hot, filling meal when on the go.

Good stuff!
My favorite breakfast on the trail. Loads of calories. Like most of these meals, it needs some seasoning. Tapitio and a little salt and pepper will fix it up right. Break up the biscuits before hand if you don’t want to wait on them to soften. Even better- serve with eggs over easy.
