    Guerrilla’s Guide To SigInt

    Excellent.
All Scouts books dovetail with his courses well.

    imo.

  2. taylor francis (verified owner)

Good info but presentation was lacking…

Just like the other 2 books I’ve bought, the material and info is pretty good. But the typos and misspellings are quite distracting at times? Did you have an editor? Did you have spellcheck turned on?

  3. Anthony Barnes (verified owner)

    Great book

Great book. Full of useful information for anyone wanting to gain knowledge in the field of signal intelligence. Has proven most useful.

  4. JAMES STEPHENSON (verified owner)

SIGNALS INTEL IS A GOOD BUY

Received the book and looking forward to a deep dive into it. I’m sure it will be a valuable addition to the brushbeater library I seem to be accumulating. NC Scout, thanks for the intel.

    Great info

One of the best books so far! All of them have been beyond exceptional!

  6. GP (verified owner)

Great companion to Guerilla’s Guide to the Baofeng Radio

This book really opens your eyes to how, with relatively simple tools, you can improve your RF situational awareness.

  7. Stan Szymanski (verified owner)

Great book from a great instructor!

New book by NC Scout who is the premier radio man..content rich

  8. Robert Gale (verified owner)

    Excellent Resource

I’ve taken the Signals Intelligence Course – and HIGHLY recommend it. This book is a good condensation of what’s taught there.

    A good work, Foundational.

I am grateful for M*** and his family. My orders appear quickly, the inventory of available products is pertinent to the day and the prices are comparative.

The Guerilla’s Guide to Signals Intelligence is is the building block I needed to delve into this topic.

What sets the Brushbeater store on top of the mountain is the nonsense free content and personal concern that is delivered through every available channel.

  16. Devin St. Clair (verified owner)

    Everything looks great!

It all looks great, usable with the spiral binding, and of course great content. Thanks!

    Good prep for class

Got it after class as a reinforcement to my notes. Wish I had gotten it before. Good up to date equipment suggestions within which is helpful given the authors knowledge of what works for this type of collection.

DO YOU WANT A REAL EDGE IN A SHTF MOMENT?

Have you ever wondered how our soldiers locate and attack the enemy? SIGINT is the missing link. Buy this book. Read it. Reread the parts that you don’t understand. Research the equipment and learn how to use it. In my humble opinion, No amount of preparation is complete without this knowledge.

The Guerilla’s Guide To Signals Intelligence.

Good stuff. Although a lot for an old man to digest! I’ll keep reading and re-reading till I get it. Some of it is clicking right off the bat. It’s been around 50 years since I messed with a PRC-77! Keep up the good work, Matt! Thanks. 73, Bob km4vql.

I have already finished both books and they are an invaluable start to a very practical use in many different situations. Thank you for your service to our country and now directly to its citizens. God Bless you and your team.

    An intelligent book

I’ve already read through the book once. Working on a second reading now. I thought the first couple of chapters were slow reading, but they are foundational regarding intelligence gathering. I immensely enjoyed reading the book. I was reminded of things I had forgotten from my time in the military. Enjoyed learning about the new technology available. I’ve had friends ask to borrow it and told them to buy their own copy. Now I have to save to buy some more equipment recommended by this book.

    Well worth the read

Presented a lot of points from a perspective I hadn’t seen viewed from before. Offensive/defensive tools and things to think about regarding signals. Must read for our increasingly electronic modern theater

  23. Matthew Seguin (verified owner)

    Great resource

If you already have the gorillas guide in your library this is highly recommended

I have been looking for solutions since the July 2021 attack on Mercer Street killed a security

I have been looking for solutions to two problems:
    GPS Spoofing and drone detection.

The setting is a merchant ship supporting the US military.

These ships are about as well protected from these threats as the average Dodge Caravan is from gun fire.
While this threat has existed for some time, the Navy is not taking it seriously.

I’m taking it seriously, as it’s my ship.
    Bought the Tiny SA Ultra.
I suspected it would do at least part of the job, but needed to hear it from someone who knew.

    Following on youtube etc

So far so good. Concise info on SIGINT with real world applications

So far so good. I have browsed through the book and now going through it while taking notes. The reference info is great. The real world applications are excellent as well. NC Scout does a good job of making it concise. Sometimes a little too concise where an additional real-world application would help the reader better understand.

Suggestions/improvements: I do think that the formatting and layout of the quarter wave antenna chart on pages 76 and 77 is off so that it makes the information presented in incorrect. I’m also a stickler so I would recommend future versions be consistent with adding the Hz on all of the charts. Overall, I’m super happy with the book.

    Delivered as promised

    Haven’t read it yet

    SigInt

The publication is excellent. I have very little radio experienced so it is a bit over my head. It is helpful and I am looking forward to build my knowledge.

    NC Scout – Brushbeater Store

The Guerrilla Guide Books by NC Scout are awesome! Great resources, to the point, super easy to follow & worth every cent. How do I know? I bought the wrong resources…once! The Brushbeater Store…same. All the right gear you need, field tested or he doesn’t sell it (I believe) & great pricing. The best part, customer service. Every shipment is prompt and you actually get a response if you have a question. Thanks Brushbeater!

If your Sig-Int ain’t right, dig your own grave.

First, thank you Scout for taking the time to share this wealth of knowledge in a manner so simple “even a grunt can do it”.
Learning so much here… as a “grey beard”I remember those days of thinking about “ am I or do I have a piece of the puzzle” back in Germany in ‘84 all the while looking for SMLM vehicles.
Now I understand so much more on my digital/ RF foot print. Thanks

    This is what really works….period….

About as thorough as you can get without going into waters that require a security clearance. Apent 6 years as a signal intel morse operator back in the
80’s…technology has advanced from the r390 and Racal (size wise) but the basic ideas remain the same. And even back then as a tactical operator, the fancy high dollar antennas that our dear uncle spent copius amounts of our money buying….usually stayed in storage and the homebrew antennas were what worked. The fancy was for displays and dog and pony shows.

  43. Jason White (verified owner)

    Great book

  44. R. Fhearguis (verified owner)

    Always full of information

Read carefully, then do it again. That’s about all I can say for this one, or any of Scouts books really. The information is extremely easy to absorb but you’ll miss things in the process too. I’ve gone back to books several times and always find something I missed.

SIGINT That You Can Sink Your Teeth Into

This book sets the reader on the right path to start learning not only how to do SIGINT, but also why it’s an important skill to have. Brushbeater tosses in real life examples to give more than ample credence to his lessons. In the coming troubles, these skills are going to be the difference between protecting your tribe or possibly losing them. One of the best values for the money in this genre.
